2016 is quickly becoming the year our world lost giants.
While the world mourns the loss of sport greats Ali and Howe, we want to take a moment to mourn the loss of two powerful voices for nature.
This past week, John Hendee passed away after battling an unknown illness for the past two months. In April, Peter Stranger passed away after a brave fight against cancer.
We were fortunate to know John and Peter through The WILD Foundation, where they served as trustees of the organization along with Simon.
Both were gentlemen in the truest sense of the word. Kind and thoughtful, their presence always warmed the room and their passionate voices always raised our spirits. We only wish we could have spent far more time enjoying the company of and learning from Peter and John.
We know both will be missed by so many, but they will be missed by us as well – not only because they were fine human beings, but because they were true heroes of the planet.
We know dear old Scarface the grizzly bear will look out for them both.
